I created, designed and produced advertising from the 1970s to 2020. I grew up in the 1960s in a small town 25 miles south of Boston, Massachusetts. It was a lot like Mayberry from "The Andy Griffith Show." Now that I'm retired, I have more spare time and am looking forward to the future doing what I really like. Here's my "Take 5" writing exercise of topics with 5 favorites for each.
5 things I enjoy doing:
I really enjoy the art of conversation and lively discussions on topics, both serious or silly. I also walk every day, enjoy searching for used books and vinyl records at charity-run thrift stores, playing the drums regularly and taking time to appreciate nature and solitude.
5 things that still make me smile after all these years:
Dogs, old movies (including silent films,) classic cars, Flip-flops and Dairy Queen (sadly, our local DQ closed in 2021 due to the pandemic.)
5 places I visited and would love to revisit:
London, Rome, Aruba, San Francisco, New York City
5 places I would like to see for my first time:
Chicago, Amsterdam, Paris, Seattle, Barcelona
